MAMOU TWO-STEP [1]. Cajun, Two-Step (4/4 time). USA, southwestern Louisiana. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). BBAABBBBBBAABBAA. This instrumental is named for the area around Mamou, Louisiana. The tune can be heard in Michael Cimino's 1980 movie Heaven's Gate, where it is played by a fiddler on roller skates (who then jumps on stage to be accompanied by a band on rollerskates).
