MAMMY'S PET [2] (Peata Mhamaí). AKA and see "Kitty in the Lane," "Lilies of the Field." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Unrelated or perhaps distantly related to "Mammy's Pet (1)." The tune is usually known at "Lilies of the Field" nowadays. Breathnach notes the tune was originally recorded for Columbia Records in New York in 1929 by accordion player P.J. Conlon under the title "Kitty in the Lane."
