Tune properties and standard notation


CHARLESTON NO. 2. Old Time, Breakdown. USA, Mississippi. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Willie Narmour (Carroll County, Mississippi), although Christeson credits only "old 78's." Recorded by Narmour and Smith. There is an assertion that "Charleston No. 2" is the "Silver Star Hornpipe," however to my ear it does not sound similar to the tune of the latter title printed in Ryan/Cole.
