BRIGID O'MALLEY (Brighid Ní Mháille). Irish, Air (3/4 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Carolan's song is printed in Hardiman's Irish Minstrelsy (I, 74). "This is the proper air too, and not 'Lough Sheelin', as Hardiman states at p. 128 of the same volume."

Source for notated version: copied by Joyce around 1873 from a manuscript lent him from near Lough Conn, County Mayo.

Printed source: Joyce (Old Irish Folk Music and Songs), 1909; No. 304, pp. 142-143.
