MY KING HAS LANDED AT MOIDART (Thainig mo Righ air tir am Muideart). Scottish, Pipe Pibroch. The clan march of the Stewarts, or was at one time. This pipe pibroch commemorates the spot where Bonnie Prince Charlie first stepped foot on Scottish soil during the Jacobite rising of 1745. It is said to have been composed on the spot at the time of the landing (although this is disputed) by a member of the piping family of MacIntyres from Rannoch, one John MacIntyre (Collinson, 1975). See note for "Annotation:Eight Men of Muidart (1)/Muidart" for more information on the event and associated tales.
