Recorded in 1939 for the Library of Congress by collector Herbert Halpert from the playing of Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi, fiddler John Brown (b. circa 1871). The title, as recorded by Halpert, was "Not a-gonna have no supper here tonight."
