NORTON'S REEL. American, Schottische. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Apparently associated with the Jimmy Norton who is identified as the "Boss jig player" in the Howe publications. Norton was presumably a Boston area musician and/or bandleader with a local reputation, although nothing about him has surfaced to date.
