MAIDS OF TRAMORE. AKA - "Maid of Tramore." AKA and see "Eviction (The)," "Harry's Loch," Kilfenora Lass (The)," "Noonday Feast (The)," "Scatter the Mud (2)." Irish, Double Jig. A Dorian/G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Tramore is a seaside place near the city of Waterford. The first turn of "Maids of Tramore" (which Breathnach claims is faulty) is the same as that of "Scatter the Mud (2)" and "Noonday Feast (The)" although the second tune differs. Ryan's/Cole's tune "Eviction (The)" appears to be almost identical with "Maids of Tramore," and compares favorably with the version in Frank Roche's 1912 collection.
