N:Transcribed from a 1929 film of a Catskill, N.Y. (a town in the Hudson Valley) country fiddler
N:playing the tune. He says he learned the tune when he was around age
N:20 (and was aged 70 at the time of the filming) from another local fiddler.
N:He had no name for the tune, but insisted he played it as learned fifty years ago.
N:The film is in the University of South Carolina's Newsfilm Library.
