BILLY BROCKER. AKA and see "Billy Bockett," "Budgie on the Griddle (The)," "Charlie Lennon's." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Editor Taylor reports the tune is a close relation of "Sunny Banks (The)," "Jolly Clam-Diggers (The)," and "Dairymaid (The)" and further remarks "the phrases in the second part are stock-in-trade for musicians on many instruments...the lack of C sharps on any main beats in our tune indicates antiquity and a suitability for the flute." See also "Old Billy Brocker's (The)," which has a different second part.
