Cáitlin Ní HUALLACHAIN (h-Uallachain). AKA - "Caitilín Ní Uallacháin (Kathleen O'Houlihan)," "Katty/Kitty Nowlan [1]." Irish, Air (3/4 time, "Marked time, not too slow"). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A song and harp tune of the Jacobite period in favor of the Stuart rebellion. The title is an allegorical name for Ireland.

Source for notated version: the 1861 manuscript collection of James Goodman, an Anglican cleric who collected primarily in County Cork [Shields].
