ONE MORE DANCE AND THEN. English; March, Country Dance or Polka. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in print in London publisher John Johnson's Two Hundred Favourite Country Dances, vol. 8 (1758, p. 42). The tune also appears in the Ashover Collection of Harrison & Well, a reprint of a musician's manuscript from the town dating to 1762. At one time the end-of-the-country-dance ("farewell") tune in Ashover, Derbyshire, probably in the 1970's.
