ORCHALL. Scottish, Strathspey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The Barony of Orchill dates back to the period 1560 when the second Earl of Montrose (Inchbrakie’s brother) settled the lands of Orchill and Rothearnes on his third son Mungo Graeme. The original house at Orchill, Ardoch, Perthshire, was built in the early 18th century for the Graham family and was a traditional harled laird's house with a gothic tower and great hall. See also latter 18th century tunes for the Graham of Orchill family, "Mr. Graham of Orchills" and "Mrs. Graham of Orchill's."
