YOUNG EDWARD. AKA and see "Lonesome John." Old-Time. A Major. AEae tuning (fiddle). The melody is derived from the air to “Drunkard’s Dream (The),” a ballad whose first line is:

Young Edward you look so handsome now,

Many sources cite fiddler Bruce Green who had the tune from Kentucky fiddler Hiram Stamper [1].
