OUT ON THE ROAD [1]. American, Double Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BC. Composed in 1988 by Celtic-style fiddler Liz Carroll (Chicago), who remarked:

It's a pretty awful title, actually. My husband's parents had a dog named Julie, and Julie was killed by a car. So you could say she was 'out', as in 'dead', on the road. But the title kind of works because people could say, 'Let's play 'Out On the Road' and it would just be a bit of fun.
