PEACOCK [3], THE. AKA and see "Peacock's Feather (1)." English, March (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune also was entered into the music manuscript collections of multi-instrumentalist John Rook (Waverly, Cumbria, 1840) and fife player Thomas Nixon (Conn., 1776). Nixon's version is odd, and may be a 'second' or harmony.
