PIPER'S WEDDING [1], THE (Bainis an Phíobaire). AKA and see "Cathcart's Favourite," "Carton's No. 2 Reel." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Source Fennell had no name for the tune; Breathnach took the title from Hardebeck’s collection (ii, p. 21). He notes that T. Magilligan, of County Fermanagh, called it “Cathcart's Favourite,” and that it appears in a Limerick manuscript as “Carton's No. 2 Reel.”
