WHAT’S THAT TO YOU? English, Jig. B Flat major. Standard tuning. AABB. This melody, like many in Charles and Samuel Thompson’s 1757 collection, first appeared in John Johnson’s 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 7 (London, 1756). There are other, different, tunes by this title in 18th century collections, as well as a song in James Johnson's Scots Musical Museum (from the pen of Thomas D'Urfey, modified somewhat by Allan Ramsay according to Stenhouse, who directed it be sung to the tune of "Glancing of her apron (The)").
