ALEXANDER MACDONALD. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Jerry Holland learned the tune in Boston from Cape Breton fiddlers when he was still young. Its first appearance in print is in Gordon MacQuarrie's The Cape Breton Collection (1940).
