KILLALOE HORNPIPE, THE. AKA and see "Tom Connor's Hornpipe," "Widow Cantwell's Fancy (The)." Irish, Hornpipe. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection of Church of Ireland cleric James Goodman (1828-1896). Goodman, an uilleann piper, collected in Cork and elsewhere in Munster, in the tradition and from manuscripts and printed sources.
