PAN CAKE. English, Country Dance Tune. "Pan Cake" is one of the tunes missing from Northumbrian musician William Vickers' 1770 music manuscript collection. The title appears in the index, but the pages with the music are missing. There was a 12/8 tune called "Pan-Cake" that appears in some miscellaneous correspondence of Sept. 1756 that may be a version of the one collected by Vickers.
