MRS. STEWART'S REEL. Irish (originally Scottish), Reel or Country Dance (cut time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in Malcolm MacDonald's 3rd Collection of Strathspey Reels (c. 1792) under the title "Mr. Stewart Oliphant of Rossie", which probably predates its appearance in Tracy's small collections. Tracy was evidently a dancing master practicing in Dublin.
