MRS. RICHARDSON PITFOUR'S REEL. Scottish, Reel (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Perthshire fiddler-composer biography:Duncan McKercher, the "Dunkeld Paganini." The title refers to the spouse of Sir John Stewart Richardson (1797), son of James Richardson (d. 1823), Esq., of Pitfour, Perthshire. In 1826 he married Mary (1807-1886), the daughter of James Hay, Esq., of Colliepriest, County Devonk, the "Mrs. Richardson Pitfour" of McKercher's title.
