REEL DES ESQUIMAUX [2] (Eskimos’ Reel). French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB (Songer): AA’BB’ (Hart & Sandall). The tune was first recorded by fiddler Isidore Soucy in 1939, in a 'crooked' version (i.e. having irregular strains), that was 'straighted' for contra and square dancing.
