MR. P.P. SHIRREFF'S FAVORITE. Scottish, Jig (6/8 time). There was a merchant in Edinburgh named P.P. Shirreff, who sold drapery, haberdashery and hosiery, trading from No. 38 Prince's Street at the beginning of the 19th century. It is unknown whether this tune has any connection with him.
