SALLY WATERS. American, Dance Tune. The name of a dance and play-party song as well as a tune. Paul Gifford believes it is probably a northern version of the southern "Sally Walker/[[Sallie Walker," a play party he recalled watching neighborhood African-American girls in Detroit dance.
