ARKANSAS FIDDLER. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The self-describing tune is from a recording of the playing of fiddler Tilman Pyeatt (1933 - 2007), accompanied by his second wife Molly Pyeatt (guitar), and Moon Mullins (banjo). Tilman was in the Air Force for many years, stationed in Texas. His family band, consisting of Tilman and his children Marilyn, Gene and Lehman, played bluegrass weekly on KMAC radio, San Antonio, and at local venues. The family moved back to Tilman's native Arkansas in 1970 where they continued to perform at local events.
