FAVORITE HORNPIPE [5], A. AKA and see: "Ned Kendall's Hornpipe (2)," "Reefer's Hornpipe," "Reel du Chauffeur." American, Hornpipe (2/4 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears in Providence, Rhode Island, music teacher, violinist and dance fiddler George Saunders' 1847 violin tutor. It was played by the famous Boston-based keyed bugle virtuoso, Ned Kendall, and is one of the tunes associated with his name.
