SET AMÉRICAIN, 1 ÈRE PARTIE. (Set American, First Part). French-Canadian, Reel or Quadrille (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB'. The melody was recorded in November, 1929, by Montreal fiddler J.O. Albert La Madeleine, who plays the tune through once, accompanied by a banjo, then is joined the second time through by a melodeon. The tune alternates repetitions with fiddle/banjo and with fiddler/accordion/ banjo.
