BRICKMAKER MARCH. American, March. The melody appears in Connecticut fifer Giles Gibb Jr.'s (1760-1780) music manuscript collection (1777), killed by a British raiding party in Royalton, Vermont in October, 1780. The melody is presumed British in origin, although no British sources for it have yet been located.

Recorded source: New World Records 80276-2, "Music of the American Revolution: The Birth of Liberty" (1976).
