BEGGARMAN, THE. Irish, March or Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "In my Ancient Irish Music (p. 45) there is a setting of this air: but the one I give here is much better" (Joyce). Like Bunting's "An Deirctheoir" (The Beggar), this appears to be yet another version of "Little Beggarman (The)," popular and common throughout the British Isles.
