BRITON, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (3/4 time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCD. The tune and country dance directions were printed by London publisher John Young in the 3rd and 4th editions of The Second Volume of the Dancing Master (1718 & 1728). It was also published by Walsh & Hare in their The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (1719).
