Tune properties and standard notation

FIELD OF HAY, THE. Irish, Jig. E Flat Major. Standard tuning. AB. Resembles both "Campbells Are Coming (1) (The)" and " White Cockade (The)"--Bayard (1981) wonders if they all are indeed related and from some common ancestor.

Source for notated version: noted from the whistling of Philip Gleeson, Coofree, county Limerick [Joyce].

Printed sources: Howe (1000 Jigs and Reels), c. 1867; p. 21. Joyce (Ancient Irish Music), 1873/1890; No. 89, p. 82.
