FIDDLING AROUND. American, Reel or Breakdown. USA; Vermont, New York. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB' (Brody): AA'BB' (Bohrer/Kilbler). Adirondack mountains fiddler Vic Kibler thought that Vermont fiddler Clem Myers might have written this tune, however, Frank Maloy, writing in The Devil's Box, says it was composed by his friend, southeastern fiddler Ruel Parker.
