KITTY AT THE WELL. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Prince Edward Island. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. Perlman (1996) thinks this may have originally been a strathspey, converted on eastern Prince Edward Island.

Source for notated version: from a 78 RPM recording by fiddler Lem Jay {1880-1960} (Mt. Stewart, Queens County, Prince Edward Island) [Perlman]. Jay's recordings were privately made and in the possession of his son Roland Jay.

Printed sources: Perlman (The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island), 1996; p. 82.
