LAST OF THE LOT, THE. AKA and see "Fairhaired Boy (1) (The)," "Buachaillín Bán (1) (An)," "Boys from Carrickroe (The)," "Cherry Grove Jig," "Freheen Jig." Irish, Jig. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Breathnach states this setting of "Buachaillín Bán" "leaves much to be desired." With the parts reversed, the melody has similiarities to the better-known "Cliffs of Moher (The)." P.W. Joyce's "Cherry Grove Jig" is a close variant.
