MARACAIBO REEL, THE. Irish, Reel. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Chicago tin whistle player Johnny Harling, who (explains Bill Black) was watching a pirate movie at the time this tune came into his head. The pirates' ship was headed for Lake Maracaibo, Venuzuela, and hence the title.
