OBELISK, THE. AKA - "The Obelist." English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is titled "The Obelist" in the Samuel, Ann and Peter Thompson's c. 1790 reissue of the original 1773 third volume, published by Charles and Samuel Thompson; probably a misprint.
