OLD WAY'S BEST. English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears in Walsh's Third Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master (London, 1735) and in Walsh's Compleat Country Dancing Master, Volume the Third (London, c. 1749), as well as Daniel Wright's Compleat Collection of Celebrated Country Dances' (printed by Johnson, London, 1740).
