PRETTY MISS SALLY. English, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was originally published in John Johnson’s Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 6 (London, 1751, p. 37), apparently the source of many of the tunes in Charles and Samuel Thompson’s 1757 collection.
