WHIP HER BELOW THE COVERING. Scottish, Slip Jig (9.8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). An 18th century tune with a bawdy or risque title, it appears in a volume once in the library of Henry Erskine, entitled "A Collection of Scotch Airs with the Lastest Variations. Written for the use of Walter McFarla [page torn]", marked 'Vol. III' (now in the National Library of Scotland).
