LOVAIN'S MARCH. English, March (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody is contained in the large 1840 music manuscript collection of multi-instrumentalist John Rook, of Waverton, near Wigton, Cumbria. Compare the first strain with that of "First Regt. of Footguard's March", also in the Rook collection.
