KATTY NOWLAN [2] (Caitilin Ni Nuallain). Irish, Air (3/4 time, "tenderly"). D Minor (O'Neill): C Minor (Stanford/Petrie). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Very similar to "Katty Nowlan (1)." O'Neill's setting is the same as Petrie's, points out Paul de Grae[1], differing only in the key change. Petrie noted that the correct title was "Caitilín Ní Uallacháin (Kitty Huallaghan), but the settings in Stanford's Complete Collectionof Petrie's tunes nevertheless appear under the title "Katty Nowlan"<ibid>.
