MILL STREAM, THE. AKA - "Millstream (The)." AKA and see "Lough Allen (1)." Irish, Reel. Ireland, County Cork. G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Petrie identifies this as a County Cork reel. See also the first strain of the tunes "Oíche Nollag," "Shins about the Fireside (3)," "Strawberry Blossom (2)," "There's nae luck aboot the house there's nae luck ava (1)," "Ghile Beag le m'Anam Thú," and Petrie's (1905) untitled airs No. 154 and 258. "Box about the Fireplace" seems a related, though distanced version of the reel.
