JENNY'S WHIM [1]. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Like all of the tunes from Thomas Davis's 1748 collection, the tune was reprinted by London publisher John Johnson in his Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 5 (1750), where it is credited to Davis. It also can be found in John Walsh's Caledonian Country Dances.
