"Reel du régiment" is a wartime (1942) reissue of Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard's (1873-1947) "Reel de mon maton," originally recorded for Victor in Montreal in 1929. Don Messer and His Islanders released a version of the tune as "Mother's Reel." See note for "annotation:Reel de mon maton" for more.
