REEL DU RÉGIMENT. AKA and see "Mother's Reel," "Reel de mon maton." French-Canadian, Reel. C Major ('A' and 'C' parts) & G Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'C. "Reel du régiment" is a wartime (1942) reissue of Montreal fiddler Joseph Allard's (1873-1947) "Reel de mon maton," originally recorded for Victor in Montreal in 1929.
