REEL DES POILUS, LE. French-Canadian, Reel. A Major. AEae tuning (fiddle). AA’BB. A ‘crooked’ tune from the playing of Isidore Soucy (who recorded it in 1940); both strains have a measure with an extra beat. ""Reel du capitaine (2) (Le)]]", recorded two years prior to Soucy's "Reel des poilus", uses a similar melodic theme in the first few bars.
