GATEHOUSE MAID [2], THE. AKA - "Sean Maguire's." AKA and see "Butter and Peas." Irish, Reel. G Major/E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB: AABB (McGuire & Keegan). Fr. John Quinn finds the first strain to be a derivative of "<incipit title="load:gunn" width=850 link="https://tunearch.org/wiki/Mrs. Gunn's Strathspey">Mrs. Gunn's Strathspey</incipit>," printed in London by John Gow in the very early 19th century.
