Paul de Grae identifies it as a version of O'Neill's "Spellan's Fiddle" (Music of Ireland, 1903, No. 616) and "Spring Garden (The)." The beginning measures of the second part were incorporated into the beginning of the second part of O'Neill's "Star Hornpipe (1)."
