Researcher Conor Ward finds cognate melodies in the James Goodman manuscript as "Dougarry Boys", and in Book 5 of County Leitrim piper and fiddler biography:Stephen Grier's c. 1883 music manuscript as an untitled jig (Book 5, No 57).
